AMBENO (TOP) – Previously there were only about three ministers who inaugurated a project in Dili, but in the Special Administrative Region of Oe-Kusi Ambeno (RAEOA) it increased to five (5) Regional Secretaries who flocked to Bitila just to put the cornerstone of the Covid-19 quarantine construction project and a residence for medics.
Bitila which is included to Aldeia Manan, Beneufe village, Nitibe sub-district located in the western part of the enclave of Oe-Kusi Ambeno is one of the border area with Oepoli village, Amfoang Timur sub-district, which is included in the administration of Kupang district, East Nusa Tenggara.
According to information accessed by The Oe-Kusi Post (TOP), the launch of the Covid-19 quarantine construction project took place on the date of the Indonesian military's invasion of Timor-Leste, 7 December, which is now designated as National Memorial Day.
Present at the launch of the construction project consist of Deputy President Authority for Social Affairs, Maximiano Neno, Regional Secretary for Health, Manuel da Costa, Secretary for the Regional Administration, Martinho Abani, Regional Secretary for Agriculture, José Eta, and Regional Secretary for Trade and Industry Affairs, Lake Sombai Mnatu.
Apart from the Rejional Secretaries, there were also the Director of Public Works for RAEOA, Candido Dos Reis Amaral, Head of Nitibe Sub-district, Manuel Tolan, and including the Head of the Baoknana Health Center, Jacinto Corbafo.
Meanwhile, the Office of the President Authority was represented by Marcos Seo, who was fired by the former President of the RAEOA Authority, José Luis Guterres on April 22, 2020, for allegedly committing an offense regarding the provision of food to people in quarantine.
The Covid-19 quarantine construction project located in Sakato consists of 11 rooms.
