Oe-Kusi Ambeno's authorities expelled journalists during a press conference

DILI (TOP) — One of the protocol staff from the President of the Special Administrative Region Authority of Oecussi Ambeno (RAEOA) has expelled the journalists during a press conference at the international airport of Rota do Sandalo, in Oe-Kusi Ambeno.

Former President of the Special Administrative Region Authority of Oe-Kusi Ambeno (RAEOA) Mari Alkatiri has paid 13 million Euros to the Atlantic Eagle Shipbuilding Company to construct the HAKSOLOK six years ago in Portugal but until now HAKSOLOK has not come to Timor-Leste on suspicion this company has been "bankrupt".

Due to the suspicion of "bankruptcy", the regional government of Oe-Kusi Ambeno is now asking for an additional US $ 14 million to be able to settle the HAKSOLOK ferry which has become polemic.

According to information accessed by The Oe-Kusi Post (TOP) that when the journalists asked this question to the current President of the Special Administrative Region Authority of Oe-Kusi Ambeno (RAEOA) Arsenio Paixão Bano to explain more detail, the protocol staff directly confronted them that they should not ask about the HAKSOLOK ferry in the airport area.

After this incident, Leonia Monteiro as Deputy President of RAEOA apologized to journalists and promised to impose sanctions on her unethical protocol staff.

The HAKSOLOK ferry case is one of the most polemic cases in Timor-Leste, and is currently still being investigated by the public prosecutor's office.
