Oekusipost.com Oe-Kusi Ambeno - During February 2020 the traffic police Unit of the Special Administrative Region of Oe-Kusi Ambeno succeeded in confiscating 32 units of motorbikes and collecting a thousand and forty six of US dollars.

The commander of the RAEOA Traffic Police Unit Inspector Samuel Leki said, of the 32 motorbyke units, only one case was followed up.

"I want to report that during February only one case was followed up to the Attorney General's Office of Oe-Kusi Ambeno. From the 32 units of motorbykes, we were able to collect a fine of $ 1046 because 30 of them violated traffic rules, "Commander Leki told Oekusipost.com at Oe-Kusi Ambeno, Thursday (05/03/2020).

The former police commander of Nitibe Sub-region added that the checkpoint activities carried out by traffic police in Oe-Kusi were going well, but there were still some motorbyke owners who were not aware of handling their relevant documents.

"Our members are always assigned at every roundabout to direct and save students including road users who want to cross the zebra cross traffic sing, but when an accident occurs, our members immediately handle it based on traffic rules", Leki explained.

Recently, around 30 motorbikes are still being held at the Oe-Kusi Ambeno police headquarters and will be handed back to the owner, if they have completed the documents that have not been taken care of. (nin)
