JAKARTA (TOP) - Deputy Prime Minister of Timor Leste, Fransisco Kalbuadi Lay and Ambassador of Timor Leste to Cambodia, Ermenegildo Kupa Lopes received Honorary Doctorate degrees from Bodhisastra University Florida, United States at a special graduation ceremony at the Grand Ballroom of the Kempinski Hotel, Jakarta, Saturday, May 31, 2025.
Honorary Doctorate degrees were awarded to a number of influential figures from various countries. Deputy Prime Minister of Timor Leste, Fransisco Kalbuadi Lay received the award for his visionary leadership and dedication in building the country and Ambassador of Timor Leste to Cambodia, Ermenegildo Kupa Lopes received the honor for his services in strengthening diplomatic relations and bilateral cooperation.
Fourteen other graduates from various countries in Asia, including China, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Malaysia, will also receive doctorates from the university.
Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Minister of Tourism and Environment, Dato' Seri Francisco Kalbuadi Lay said, offering his Honorary Doctorate to the heroes and the entire people of Timor-Leste.
Another 14 graduates from various Asian countries, including China, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Malaysia, will also receive doctorates from the university.
After finishing, the Deputy Prime Minister first thanked God, family, President of the Republic Josรฉ Ramos Horta, Prime Minister Kay Rala Xanana Gusmรฃo, the national structure including all CNRT militants who recently won the election, and through the title received to encourage better work.
"In the ninth Government I received this title, a title that comes with its slogan Peace, Stability and Development, this is related to my work, because as a pillar of the economy, they here appreciate and talk only about our economic sustainability in the country.
