According to a spokesman for the Integrated Center for Crisis Management COVID-19, doctor Sergio Lobo that, the case number did not change compared to yesterday. From the tests conducted on 50 people, now there is one that is awaiting the results, there is one case of confirmation and negative cases are 48.
The former Minister of Health added that the foreign citizen who had been carrying out the process of isolation at the Vera Cruz health center, and according to tests twice in a row he had returned negative. Already qualified to return to live in his house, but still advised to continue to do auto-quarantine for 14 days at his home.
"Now there is a new case of a passenger coming from the land border, the student has been here for one week. A few days ago the student just coughed and was short of breath, and last night the test was done, and was positive,” the spokesman of the COVID-19 Integrated Crisis Management Center at the Dili Convention Center, Friday 10 April 2020.
According to other information compiled by Oe-Kusi Post, the Timorese citizen who is now positive for the coronavirus is a 22-year-old girl who runs a quarantine process at the Katuas Hotel in Dili. And during the process of her quarantine, she had made contact with several people in the hotel, and also included the officers who brought food to her.
Regarding this matter, Sergio Lobo said his team had also identified a number of these people and that they would be tested in the near future. He also asked the entire community to continue to comply with national emergency regulations such as having to wear masks, maintain social distance and always wash hands.
"Because these things have great potential to keep us away from the corona virus," he explained.
