SINGAPORE (TOP) – The Climate Reality Project invites online media platform The Oekusi Post (TOP) to participate in a two-day training, 8-9 September 2026 on Climate Leadership at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Center.
The Climate Reality Project is a non-profit organization founded by former US Vice President (1993-2001), Albert Arnold Gore Jr., in 2006, after the successful release of his documentary film "An Inconvenient Truth." The organization is headquartered in Washington, D.C., and its central mission is to raise public awareness of the climate crisis and impel global action to address it.
The Oekusi Post feels privileged and honored to be invited by this organization to participate in a two-day training in Singapore, and at the same time also attend AT ONE IMPACT WEEK 2026 until 12 September 2026 at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, and which focuses on the five-day event. economy”. Organizers described the training as not only teaching participants about the climate crisis, but transforming the real experience of communities most affected by climate change in Southeast Asia into a collective force for action for justice. The stated objective is to implement a people- and rights-focused energy and climate finance pathway, not just treat the region as an investment destination.
Aimee Oliveros, Philippines Branch Manager, The Climate Reality Project, considered the training as a moment for participants to "improve" the tools they already have, connect across borders, and ask for the resources that communities need.
The training expects frontline community representatives, climate advocates, specialists, government officials, financial sector representatives, private sector authors, and other change leaders from the Philippines and from across the Southeast Asian region. It became a regional convention, not just a Singapore-specific event.
Organizers noted several factors that influenced the choice of venue and time. Southeast Asia is expected to cover almost 20% of global energy demand growth over the next decade, and the latest energy crisis has raised prices and limited daily life and work in the region. Rising seas and increased extreme weather mean the region needs an investment of $210 billion annually in climate-resilient infrastructure by 2030, a figure that organizers say requires innovative financing mechanisms, regional cooperation, and community-level action.
Singapore’s role as a global financial hub and leader for green capital, combined with its upcoming ASEAN presidency in 2027, makes Singapore a strategic place to bring together professionals who can help accelerate clean energy investment in the region. The training will also explore opportunities for cross-border collaboration that can renew the future of clean energy in the region and develop a hub for green finance and innovation.
Through two days of sessions, participants will join the Climate Reality Leadership Corps which expands the existing global network of trained climate advocates to give the Singapore group continued access to the community after the event ends.
After completing the training of The Climate Reality Project, The Oekusi Post will also continue to participate in AT ONE IMPACT WEEK 2026 until September 12, 2026, and the five-day event focuses on the concept of "well-being economy".

The organizers used Singapore as an important regional hub for business, finance, and international conventions, giving the “well-being economy” framework an investment-linked audience by uniting people working for regeneration and systemic change with capital and infrastructure actors who could fund or scale that work.
Organizers hope the week will reinforce collaboration between people working in the fields of sustainability, regeneration, and systemic change, but also give participants a clearer framework for thinking about how infrastructure, capital, and ecosystems interact. The expected outcome is more for the relationship than just information — new partnerships and broader exposure to practical tools and conceptual models to turn “well-being economy” language into real projects.
This week coincides with the Climate Reality Leadership Corps Training (8–9 September) also held in Singapore, and the proximity to the 12th ESG and Sustainability Strategy Asia Summit 2026 (9 September) means that the period of early mid-September 2026 becomes a convincing period in which sustainable and sustainable Singapore.
