The government plans to give $100 to each family

Oekusipost.com Dili - The Interim Minister of Coordinator for Economic Affairs has proposed a plan to respond to the negative impact on the national economy due to the corona virus (COVID-19) through a Council of Minister meeting held on Wednesday, April 8, 2020.

The $100 per family subsidy proposal during this emergency status was submitted by the Interim Minister of Coordinator for Economic Affairs Fidelis Manuel Leite Magalhães.

The package of measures is divided into eight main areas and includes measures relating to the distribution of essential goods, lines of credit, tax exemptions and subsidies for citizens.

"The submission of this proposal intends to guarantee income of $100 for each family per month and the provision of salary participation with companies to provide subsidies for 3000 workers and companies including payment of leasing state property, as explained in the press release accessed by the Oe-Kusi Post at Dili Convention Center, Wednesday 8 April 2020.
