"We have come a long way for nearly a decade and a half with our own funds and funding assistance from partners for national development. For quite a long time as a country, we have spent a lot of money, but have not invested, spending money is only beneficial for some groups, ”said the deputy chairman of the FRETILIN faction, Francisco Miranda Branco in the National Parliament, Friday, October 2, 2020.
"The consequence of this politics is that to this day, after we have spent funds worth 14 billion US dollars, our people still complain about clean water. Not only in remote areas but including the capital city of Dili, all communities have not accessed clean water since 2015 according to the method of the national development strategic plan-PEDN 2011-2030, ”Branco emphasized.
Branco considered that in the past, the capital city of Díli was categorized as a clean city with good urban planning.
"Today because we do not organize properly according to an urbanization plan in order to make the capital city of Dili the door to the world, we are actually making urbanization ruralism in the capital city of our country", explained Branco.
Branco also leveraged the construction of the MDG's houses which cost a lot of money that benefited other countries, because the building materials for the MDG's houses were imported from other countries, but in the end the people did not use the houses. “After 13 years of the political process starting to heat up, AMP itself forgot the alliance to bring down the government and prime minister Taur Matan Ruak, as they pleased. Responding to FRETILIN's political statement, the Chairman of the Democratic Party Faction, António da Conceição "Kalohan" also asked for the honesty of other political parties and lea ders as well to admit that the situation they have been facing since 2002 is no longer the same as the current situation.
Kalohan explained that the current difficult situation has not just happened, but has been happening for a long time since 2017 when some parties stood up without confidence to accelerate the leadership of the seventh government.

He added that all the declarations condemning the CNRT government and its allies which spent 14 billion in funds and had no results were statements that did not recognize and acknowledge Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão nian's leadership.
