Oekusipost.com Dili – The Prime Minister (PM), Taur Matan Ruak called on members of the People's Defense Council, Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste (CPD-RDTL), to comply with regulations and laws that apply until there is a settlement of ex office located in Balide, Dili.

"I think we have rules and procedures that must be obeyed. For that reason, I ask them to respect the rules and our younger siblings from the CPD-RDTL organization to be patient to find a solution", Taur conveyed this appeal, after a weekly meeting with the head of state of Francisco Guterres Lu Olo, at the presidential palace in Ai-Tarak Laran, Dili.

The Prime Minister believes that, through the existing legal process, the problem will be completely resolved.

"We have to go through the land and property services at the justice ministry to get a new place for the new police station too. Things like this are still at the coordination stage and I hope that there can be a solution in the near future," Taur stressed.

Meanwhile, the government through the Ministry of Justice (MJ), has handed over land and ex CPD-RDTL offices in Balide to the East Timor National Police (PNTL) command, the Dili municipality, to use as a Na'in Feto subdistrict police station, since 2015 .

Previously, the PNTL Commander of the municipality of Dili, Superintendent Chief Armando Monteiro, had clarified to the Uniaun Juventude Maubere (UNIJMA) group, that the PNTL was using the land and ex office based on government policy. (*)
